The Socorro LIONS club has been serving in the Socorro area since 1947 with a veritable plethora of charitable activities which serve to make Socorro a better place to live. During those sixty six years the club has been well served by some of Socorro’s finest leaders. The Socorro Lions club membership, like all other service clubs membership, has ebbed and flowed, and is currently having a resurgence. The club meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00PM at the Bodega Burger Company on California street.

The Lions clubs are an international organization that is currently 1,300,000 members strong, with clubs in over 200 countries worldwide, and are famous for providing vision care, but each club has the flexibility to take on many other charitable projects.

The Socorro club sponsors two gun shows per year and also puts out the U. S. Flags on national holidays, as methods of raising money to be used with the charitable projects. If you are interested in serving the community, please feel free to join us for dinner and see how welcome you would be to Lions.
