Socorro Lions Club Projects
The Lions Club serves various needs in our community:
The Kid Sight Program screens young children for near-sightedness, far-sightedness, astigmatism and other vision problems. Children whose vision may be in need of correction are given referrals to local eye care specialists for appropriate diagnosis and treatment. Glasses may be provided if the family cannot afford them. Other services are provided by the New Mexico Lions Clubs.
Knitters in the club will be providing caps and small blankets to premature babies born at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Caps for chemotherapy patients in Socorro, NM, are available. Please contact the webmaster if you need one.
