Everyone has a role to play.
At the Morro Bay Lions Club, service isn’t limited to our members. We believe that when neighbors come together, good things happen—whether you wear a Lions vest or just roll up your sleeves for the day.
This page is your invitation to be part of something bigger, in a way that works for you.
Volunteer at events & programs.
You don’t have to join the club to make a difference. Many of our programs rely on community volunteers—friends, neighbors, students, and local business owners who give their time and talents when they can.
Ways You Can Help:
- Monday Night Dinners at the Vet’s Hall — Serve meals, set tables, greet guests, or help with cleanup.
- SLO Food Bank Partnership — Assist with unloading trucks, sorting produce, and distributing food.
- Hot Dog Booth at Art in the Park — Work the grill, serve customers, or help with setup and teardown during Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends.
- Car Giveaway Celebrations — Join us to support vehicle recipients and assist with event logistics.
- Vision Screenings — Help with scheduling, escorting students, or assisting trained screeners.
- Community Events — Support activities like the Downtown Halloween Walk, Morro Bay Bird Festival, or the Health & Wellness Fair.

Become a Member
If you’re ready to take your involvement to the next level, becoming a Lion offers the chance to:
- Build lasting friendships with fellow service-minded people.
- Lead or participate in club committees and projects.
- Attend regular meetings (4th Mondays at the Morro Bay Veterans Memorial Hall).
- Shape the future of our service programs.

Support Financially
Not everyone has the time to volunteer, but your donations still make an enormous impact. Every dollar supports programs like:
- Scholarships for Morro Bay High School graduates
- Vision care for children and adults
- Hot, nutritious community meals
- Emergency support for neighbors in crisis
