Club and Membership Types
The Morro Bay Lions welcome all who share a heart for service.
Whether you can give time every week or only when your schedule allows, there’s a way for you to belong.
✨ Regular Membership
- The most common type.
- Attend meetings (4th Mondays, 6:30 PM, Vets Hall).
- Participate in service projects, fundraisers, and committees.
- Full voting rights and eligibility for leadership roles.
👥 Family Membership
- Designed for spouses, partners, or family members who want to serve together.
- Reduced international dues for additional family members living at the same address.
- Share the joy of volunteering side by side.
🌟 Student to Lion Membership
- For young adults (18–30) who want to continue service while in school.
- Reduced dues.
- Perfect for résumé-building and leadership growth.
💼 Associate Membership
- For those who want to be officially connected but cannot participate regularly.
- Limited voting rights but included in all communications, events, and opportunities to serve when available.
🕊️ Honorary / Life Membership
- Granted to members who have shown extraordinary service or to recognize years of dedication.
- Dues may be reduced or waived in some cases.
How to Join:
- Visit a meeting — 4th Mondays, 6:30 PM, Veterans Memorial Hall, 209 Surf Street, Morro Bay.
- Talk to Membership Chair, Ray McKelvey — he’ll walk you through the application and sponsorship process.
- Start serving right away — many members first join a Monday Night Dinner or Hot Dog Booth shift before officially enrolling.
